Role Description The Mechanical Fitter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Orai. The Mechanical Fitter will install, assemble, align, and fit mechanical components and machinery according to technical drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting equipment, performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and carrying out repairs to minimize downtime. The role also involves operating basic machining tools when needed, checking parts for accuracy, and ensuring all work complies with safety standards and company procedures. The Mechanical Fitter will collaborate with supervisors and team members to plan maintenance activities and support smooth plant operations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong fitting and machinery skills, including assembly, alignment, and installation of mechanical components.
• Candidates should possess practical maintenance and preventive maintenance skills to inspect, service, and repair mechanical equipment.
• Candidates should possess basic machining skills for operating common machine tools and preparing or adjusting parts as required.
• Relevant technical qualification such as ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or plant maintenance settings is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, use hand and power tools safely, and follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and readiness to work in an on-site, hands-on environment.
