Job Description & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Partner with regional stakeholders to enable commercial goals
- Partner the Regional Manager and coach Store Managers on leadership, team health, performance and colleague experience.
- Partner with RM, TA team and Store Managers to ensure timely and quality hiring for all roles.
- Support new store openings by ensuring recruitment, onboarding and people readiness.
- Support store closures, expansions and restructures and ensure smooth colleague transitions.
Leadership Coaching & Manager Capability
- Coach Store management on performance, conduct, attendance, conflict and team effectiveness.
- Spend time in stores observing leadership behaviours, giving candid feedback and helping managers build healthy, customer-focused teams.
- Support managers in improving working conditions for colleagues, follow up performance and development plans and ensure managers take ownership of their teams.
Improve colleague experience and strengthen culture
- Use attrition, engagement, ER, hiring, store visit and NPS signals to identify stores requiring focused action.
- Enhance colleague experience by ensuring fair working conditions, clear expectations and timely issue resolution, clarify M&S behaviours to strengthen culture.
Build talent, capability and compliance discipline
- Facilitate talent, succession and development actions for management and key store roles.
- Ensure labour laws, M&S policies,performance calibration,reward & recognition activities and annual people processes are consistently followed across region.
- Ensure timely and fair resolution of employee relations, grievance issues. Conduct regular people audits and follow up closure of disciplinary process, POSH, statutory and working-condition risks.
Key Skills
- 8-+ years people management experience
- Practical experience coaching teams and managing employee issues, performance, engagement and culture actions.
- Good understanding of Indian labour laws, statutory compliance, POSH and employment practices across states.
- Ability to use people data and store insight to prioritise practical action and hold leaders accountable.
- Strong partnership with Regional Managers, Store Managers, TA, Learning and People Operations.
- Minimum Consistently Delivers Expectations rating in the last performance review; clear service record with no disciplinary action initiated.
