Manager Logistics

Requirements

•

Bachelors or master in logistics, business administration supply chain management.

•

Min. 8-9 yrs. of experience working in Logistics with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures.

• Ability to handle multiple projects independently.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for

• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes. Liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers

•

Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers

•

Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria

•

Comply with the regulations, laws.

•

Meet costs, timeliness targets accurately

•

Resolve all complaints or issues our customers or vendors face on time

•

Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities

•

Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement

•

Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available

•

Manage and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
