Role Description This is a full-time, on-site logistics role based in Ballari. The logistics professional will coordinate daily material movement within the plant and to external customers, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of raw materials, finished goods, and consumables. Responsibilities include planning and tracking shipments, managing transport schedules, maintaining logistics records, and communicating with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, optimizing loading and unloading operations, and supporting compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The logistics team member will also assist in resolving delivery issues, improving turnaround times, and contributing to process improvements in the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics operations, including material handling, transportation coordination, and inventory tracking in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of basic supply chain principles, warehouse management practices, and documentation related to dispatches, receipts, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with MS Office and logistics or ERP software tools to update records, generate reports, and track shipments.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple shipments or requests simultaneously.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities to work with vendors, transport partners, and cross-functional teams such as production, procurement, and finance.
• Understanding of safety practices and willingness to follow site safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Relevant education such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related field; prior experience in steel, power, or heavy industry is an advantage.
• Capacity to work on-site in Ballari and adapt to a fast-paced industrial setting with rotating priorities.
