Lead Test Engineering

Role & responsibilities -

• Creating and maintaining test cases: The Test Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed test cases that adequately cover all functionality and requirements of the project.
• Test execution: The Test Engineer will execute test cases using automation tools such as Selenium/Protractor, ensuring thorough testing of all features and functionalities.
• Test coverage: The Test Engineer will focus on achieving test coverage of over 90% for the entire project and 100% for each feature delivered, ensuring comprehensive testing.
• Tools expertise: The Test Engineer will be proficient in using project management and testing tools like JIRA, JIRA x-Ray, and Confluence, effectively managing test cases and tracking defects.
• Documentation: The Test Engineer will document test cases, test plans, test strategies, and other relevant testing artifacts to provide comprehensive documentation of the testing process.
• Collaboration with stakeholders: The Test Engineer will work closely with the Business Analyst and Development team, collaborating to understand requirements, address issues or concerns, and resolve any conflicts.

Preferred candidate profile -

• -6 years of experience as a Test Engineer, demonstrating a proven track record in delivering high-quality testing services.
• Proficiency in creating and executing test cases with automation tools like Selenium/Protractor, ensuring efficient and accurate testing.
• In-depth knowledge and expertise in using project management and testing tools such as JIRA, JIRA x-Ray, and Confluence, enabling effective test case management and defect tracking.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and different testing methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, etc.
• Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise test cases, test plans, and other testing artifacts.
• Experience in working closely with Business Analysts and Development teams, collaborating to understand requirements and resolve any issues or conflicts.
• Commitment to quality, with a focus on ensuring the product delivered meets the specified quality standards.
• Optional knowledge of databases (DB), which can be beneficial for testing activities involving database interaction.
