Lead On-Site Instructor

Overview

Delivers the end-to-end execution of an on-site, 100% hands-on upskilling program in Autonomous Agentic AI and the Model Context Protocol for a cohort of 25 experienced software developers, systems engineers, and database administrators. Acts as the lead technical instructor and architect on the ground in Thimphu, owning curriculum customization, the cloud sandbox environment, daily lab delivery, hackathon mentoring, and the competency assessment handed over to the GovTech PMO. A minimum of two senior, certified technical AI architects are deployed for the full program.

Key Responsibilities

• Customize a pre-approved 3-week curriculum to target experienced software developers, systems engineers, and database administrators, bypassing basic coding syntax.
• Ensure a 100% hands-on focus on Streamlit, collaborative Git branching, multi-agent portfolios, custom MCP servers, containerization, and production MLOps.
• Deliver physical on-site instruction in Thimphu, Bhutan for the entire program duration.
• Facilitate the daily lab cycle (1 hr concept, 1 hr demonstration, 1 hr practical, 5 hrs mentored building) and run on-site code reviews.
• Configure and manage secure, team-isolated cloud sandboxes containing AWS or Google Vertex AI credits.
• Ensure all collaborative repositories, Docker containers, database endpoints, and LLM API connections are pre-configured, tested, and active before Day 1.
• Physically facilitate, mentor, and provide technical troubleshooting during the concluding 3-Day Sovereign AI Hackathon.
• Deliver and apply standardized evaluation rubrics assessing agent containment, secure database integration via MCP, latency, and human-in-the-loop override controls.
• Evaluate each of the 25 participants before, during, and after the program using a standardized competence-based maturity framework.
• Deliver a final, individualized Skills Registry to the GovTech PMO for project-matching of certified personnel.

Profile

• Verified industry certifications: AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent.
• Documented experience deploying agentic systems or standardizing MCP server integrations.
• Depth of technical expertise across advanced Python, multi-agent frameworks (LangChain/LlamaIndex), and MCP open-source server design.
• Direct understanding of commercial MLOps lifecycles, database gateway patterns, and security auditing requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead interactive live coding demonstrations, troubleshoot containerized environments, and debug Git merges.
• Professional presence and ability to guide senior developers, with command of the classroom.
• Articulation, active listening, structured explanation of complex software concepts, and English language proficiency.
• Precision in defining, explaining, and tracking training deliverables, daily lab goals, and milestone expectations.
• Willingness and capability to be physically located in Thimphu, Bhutan for the entire program duration.

Time Allocation

• On-site in Thimphu, Bhutan, with no remote delivery, or must be available to relocate to Thimphu, Bhutan, for the duration of the engagement.
• Preferred instructor location: Nepal, Bhutan, or India.
• Full physical presence for the entire duration, including the concluding 3-day hackathon
• Verified by 100% daily physical attendance records

Time Commitment

• Duration: 3 weeks / 15 days, 100–120 contact hours (Option 2: Full On-Site Residency). Option 1 is a 5-day high-intensity sprint; GovTech selects the modality based on participant competency.
• Commitment: 8 hours of structured daily delivery (1 hr concept + 1 hr demonstration + 1 hr practical + 5 hrs mentored building), plus pre-Day 1 syllabus approval, baseline skills assessment, and sandbox provisioning.
