Role Overview

The Lead DevOps Engineer owns implementation and continued improvement of Experion's Datadog observability stack for user-facing workloads. Day-to-day work covers real user monitoring, session replay, distributed tracing, and infrastructure-as-code across the client AWS environment. The role also runs point during campaign-readiness cycles, when Experion's international customers push traffic peaks that the platform has to absorb without degradation.

Because the Kochi team supports campaigns for global clients, working hours align to campaign windows rather than a fixed shift. Expect extended availability for roughly six months of the year while campaigns run hot, with more predictable Infopark IST hours in the off-cycle. Key Responsibilities

• Implement and evolve the Datadog observability stack, covering RUM, session replay, distributed tracing, and dashboards for user-facing services.
• Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and AWS CDK, with a bias toward reusable modules.
• Own CI and CD pipelines built on GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline.
• Lead incident response for high-traffic production systems and drive the post-incident review process.
• Support engineering teams across infrastructure, platform reliability, and shared tooling.
• Run load and performance testing ahead of major client campaigns, including capacity planning.
• Coordinate with third-party infrastructure and cloud service providers for platform commitments.

Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience.
• Deep Datadog instrumentation experience across RUM, distributed tracing, and custom metrics.
• Strong AWS fundamentals: compute, networking, IAM, and cost controls at production scale.
• Infrastructure-as-code with CloudFormation or AWS CDK, shipped in production.
• Working knowledge of GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline for build and release automation.
• Real incident-response background on high-traffic systems where downtime is not an option.
• Comfort with load and performance testing tools, plus interpretation of results into fixes.
• Clear written and verbal communication for cross-team and cross-timezone coordination.
