Position: Pod lead - Chemical Engineering

Type: Short-term contract

Compensation: $15/hr

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Start Date: Immediately

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a pod of technical trainers, ensuring consistent quality and productivity.
• Review engineering tasks for technical accuracy and reproducibility.
• Validate tasks involving reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and process simulation.
• Ensure tasks reflect realistic chemical engineering workflows.
• Provide transparent technical feedback and track revisions.

Requirements

• Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical experience in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Julia, C/C++, or MATLAB/Octave.
• Hands-on expertise in process modeling, reaction kinetics, or thermodynamic modeling.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals and computational modeling.
• Experience reviewing complex technical work and chemical process simulations.
