What the Role is About

As a Junior DevOps / SRE Engineer, you will focus on building, maintaining, and automating the cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines that support our global educational platforms. Instead of writing application-level code, your role is to ensure that our systems are highly available, secure, scalable, and resilient, while empowering engineering teams with seamless continuous integration and deployment workflows.

Job Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Automation: Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates to provision, configure, and manage cloud environments reliably.
• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build, optimize, and maintain automated deployment and continuous integration pipelines to ensure fast, secure software delivery.
• Observability & Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to proactively identify system performance bottlenecks and system failures.
• Reliability & Incident Support: Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot infrastructure issues, conduct root-cause analyses (RCAs), and maintain system uptime.
• Environment Security: Help enforce secure access patterns, manage secrets/credentials, and ensure proper network isolation across environments.

Qualification & Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• 1–2 years of practical experience in a DevOps, SysAdmin, or Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Strong foundational understanding of cloud providers (specifically GCP or AWS) and core networking concepts (VPCs, firewalls, DNS, VPNs).
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and basic familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python or Bash) for automating routine operational tasks.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
