Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Advocate role located in Coimbatore. The Junior Advocate will assist senior lawyers with legal research, drafting pleadings, preparing case notes, and reviewing documents. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, court hearings, and conferences, as well as maintaining case files and ensuring timely follow-up on legal procedures. The role also involves preparing briefs, organizing evidence, and coordinating with court staff and external stakeholders as required. The Junior Advocate is expected to maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and contribute to a collaborative and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Recognized law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) and valid enrollment with the Bar Council or eligibility to enroll.
• Strong legal research and analytical abilities, with familiarity in using legal databases and reference materials.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, pleadings, notices, and correspondence with attention to detail and clarity.
• Effective communication skills, including professional client interaction and clear oral and written advocacy.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, organize case files, and work diligently under supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to appear in court, observe proceedings, and gradually take on more independent advocacy responsibilities.
• Ethical conduct, commitment to confidentiality, and a strong interest in long-term professional growth in the legal field.
• Knowledge of local court procedures in Coimbatore and proficiency in English; familiarity with regional languages is an advantage.
