Java Specialis

Role Description This part-time remote Java Specialist role at MN SHIPPING DANANG focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications that support core shipping and logistics operations. The Java Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement new features, optimize existing services, and ensure reliable integration with internal and external systems. Daily responsibilities include writing clean and maintainable code, refactoring and improving existing modules, reviewing technical requirements, and proposing effective solutions aligned with industry best practices. The role also involves troubleshooting application issues, participating in code reviews, contributing to technical documentation, and supporting deployment processes for microservices-based architectures. Flexibility in working hours is expected to coordinate with global teams and meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• Strong Software Development and Programming skills with professional experience in Java.
• Hands-on expertise with Jakarta EE and related enterprise Java frameworks.
• Experience designing and implementing Microservices architectures.
• Solid understanding and practical use of Design Patterns in software solutions.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and integration with third-party services.
• Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and build/CI tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, Jenkins) is beneficial.
• Ability to analyze requirements, write clear technical documentation, and communicate effectively with remote teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in logistics, shipping, or related domains is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment while meeting quality and timeline expectations.
