Java Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure API practices.
• Perform unit testing and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and product teams.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and cloud/container technologies where required.
• Prepare technical documentation and maintain API specifications.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Core Java and Java 8+.
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
• Knowledge of Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with Git and version-control workflows.
• Understanding of JUnit/Mockito or similar testing frameworks.
• Good understanding of OOP, collections, exception handling, multithreading, and Java fundamentals.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
