Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 21+, Spring Boot, or Quarkus.
• Build and enhance microservices-based and distributed system architectures.
• Develop reactive, non-blocking applications using functional programming principles.
• Design and implement REST APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines while following DevOps best practices.
• Work with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases to optimize application performance.
• Implement backend security using OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, and secure coding standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using logging, metrics, and distributed tracing tools.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, and engineering stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong backend engineering expertise.
• Strong proficiency in Java 21+ with Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in functional programming, reactive architecture, and non-blocking I/O.
• Extensive experience in Microservices, Distributed Systems, REST APIs, gRPC, and Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid knowledge of backend security, including OAuth2, JWT, and mTLS.
• Experience with application monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Blockchain or Canton Distributed Ledger.
• Exposure to Apigee API Management.
• Knowledge of resilience patterns such as Circuit Breakers, Retries, and Bulkhead Isolation.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Understanding of DevSecOps and Secure SDLC.
• Experience working in regulated environments with compliance requirements.
