Java Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Java Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development and administration, with hands-on experience in managing and deploying applications on Apache Tomcat. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Java applications, optimizing performance, and implementing best practices in application deployment and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Java applications running on Apache Tomcat, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy applications using Jenkins and automate processes with Ansible.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Java applications and the underlying Linux environment.
• Manage HTTPD server configurations and ensure secure and efficient web service delivery.
• Implement best practices for application deployment, including version control and rollback strategies.
• Provide support and guidance to junior team members and assist in knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java and experience with Apache Tomcat administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and server management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins, for application deployment.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Understanding of HTTPD server configurations and web application security.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
