Import Export Executive

Main purpose: Manage all import and export documentation, customs formalities, freight coordination, and compliance for heavy machinery, components, and raw materials. Key responsibilities: Prepare and verify import/export documentation. Coordinate with customs brokers/CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and clearing agents. Handle Bills of Entry, Shipping Bills, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, insurance documents, etc. Track import shipments from order placement through customs clearance and delivery. Coordinate with banks regarding trade documents and payments where required. Maintain records of import/export transactions and documentation. Monitor customs duties, freight, demurrage, detention, and other applicable charges. Ensure compliance with applicable DGFT, Customs, GST, and other regulatory requirements. Coordinate with internal purchase, accounts, production, and stores departments. Resolve documentation discrepancies and shipment-related issues. Maintain MIS/reports for pending and completed shipments. Follow up with suppliers for shipping documents and dispatch details. Preferred candidate profile: Graduate, preferably in commerce, logistics, supply chain, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in import/export, logistics, customs, or international trade. Good knowledge of import/export documentation and Indian customs procedures. Experience dealing with CHA/customs agents and freight forwarders. Good Excel and documentation skills.
