Head of Project Management

Purpose

To lead and manage end to end execution of industrial and infrastructure projects including planning, engineering coordination, procurement support, construction management, budgeting, statutory compliances, customer coordination and project delivery within timelines, cost, quality and safety parameters.

The role is responsible for execution of multiple industrial projects such as factories/ manufacturing plants, utilities and allied infrastructure; Infrastructure requirements for IB ,OMS Divisions and group companies.

Area Of Responsibility

1.Engineering and Technical Management

• Coordinate with AIG technical team, design consultants, architects, structural consultants, MEP teams and vendors
• Review engineering drawings, BOQ, specifications and technical documents
• Resolve technical and execution related issues at project sites
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards and industry best practices

2.Contract and Commercial Management

• Oversee tendering, vendor selection and contract finalization
• Monitor project costing, billing certification and cost control measures
• Evaluate variation claims and contractual risks
• Ensure commercial viability of the projects

3.Construction and Site Management

• Supervise and control site execution teams, contractors and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards and safety norms
• Conduct regular site reviews and coordination meetings with all the stakeholders
• Monitor project implementation schedules

4.Regulatory and Compliance Management

• Ensure compliance with the statutory approvals, labour laws, environmental regulations and industrial safety standards
• Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance with applicable provisions under factories regulations, building and construction laws, environmental and pollution control requirements
• Electrical and fire safety norms

5.Quality, Safety and Risk management

• Implement quality assurance and quality control systems
• Ensure strong EHS – environment, health and safety practices across projects
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning
• Drive zero accident and compliance oriented culture

6.Stakeholder Management

• Interface with internal customers, Consultants, contractors, government authorities and internal leadership
• Present project updates to senior management
• Handle escalation management and dispute resolution

7,Team Leadership

• Lead project teams
• Develop high performance project management culture, mentor and build leadership pipeline within project teams

Education

Bachelor's degree in civil/mechanical /electrical engineering

Masters degree in project management, construction management or MBA preferred

Relevant Experience

Experience 15 to 20 years of experience in industrial project execution. Experience in large industrial EPC, manufacturing/factory or infrastructure projects. Proven leadership experience, managing multiple project sites.
