Head of People to support our India operations and help us move even faster.

The Role

As the Head of People – India, you will play a key strategic role in shaping and driving people

initiatives that support team growth and business objectives. You’ll lead all aspects of People

operations and culture, partnering closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to foster a

high-performance, values-driven environment rooted in excellence and innovation.

This role is based in Delhi and requires working from our Gurgaon office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to understand growth plans and talent needs
  • Lead, manage, and develop the India People team, maintaining high performance and

standards

  • Provide guidance and support to People Experience teams across platforms
  • Act as the escalation point for employee relations matters, including investigations,

grievances, and disciplinaries

  • Drive strategic People projects and continuous improvements aligned with business

needs

  • Manage People budgets and ensure effective resource allocation
  • Conduct regular competitor benchmarking to enhance noon’s employer brand in India
  • Design and drive local talent programs to attract and retain top talent
  • Lead annual performance management processes, ensuring timely and effective reviews
  • Partner with leadership on organizational design, restructuring, and change management
  • Design and implement engagement strategies—surveys, feedback loops, recognition

programs

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing data-driven insights and

recommendations

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, audits, and internal policies—regularly reviewing and

updating SOPs

  • Champion a positive workplace culture focused on employee satisfaction and retention
  • Lead initiatives to recognize and reward high performance across teams
  • Oversee People dashboards and reporting to provide actionable business insights
  • Manage and lead the office admin team to ensure a productive and well-run workspace

What You’ll Need

  • 8-10+ years of HR experience, ideally in a high-growth or start-up environment
  • Strategic mindset with a strong ability to drive organizational change
  • High energy, proactive mindset, and strong bias for action
  • Proven experience in generalist HR roles, with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership capabilities to inspire and lead diverse teams
  • Deep understanding of Indian labor laws and compliance standards
  • Experience engaging with labor offices and regulatory authorities
  • High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
