Job Responsibilities:-

• Regulatory compliance
• Adherence to DGFT, CBIC, Port authorities rules & regulations. Ensure materials are accounted against appropriate tariff classifications & handle schemes like EPCG, Advance licence.
• Ensure documents & informations are submitted in timely manner to finance to ensure compliance. Ensure documentation accuracy in Bill of lading, Commercial invoices, certificate of origin & LC to prevent port demurrage or financial penalties.
• Ensure materials are loaded & despatched or inwarded in line with regulations stipulated from time to time.
• Contract management
• Evaluate and induct Cost competitive transporters, Conduct reverse auction to get best freight costs & enter into long term agreement with transporters, freight forwarders & 3PL logistics service providers & warehouses.
• Evaluate transporter’s performance on monthly basis & implement CAPA to ensure timely deliveries & optimize freight costs.
• Establish SLA’s, Pricing structures with suppliers/ transport vendors.
• Optimizing Logistics costs
• Plan, optimize route & implement milk run to effectively utilize space & optimize inbound & outbound freight costs.
• Fix Optimum freight charges & work on continual reduction in logistics cost year on year.
• Validating freight bills in line with contracts.
• Strategy & performance optimization
• KPI monitoring : Develop & track Operational metrics
• Monitoring budget : Oversee logistics budget, monitoring expenditures & identifying areas to optimize costs.
• Implementing technology in integrating logistics software & automation tools to streamline workflows
• Use various levers of cost reduction from Ideation to implementation
• Team leadership & cross functional work
• Mentoring staff & train logistics coordinators
• Work with Sales, International business, Parts team, Manufacturing, Finance team to ensure & align logistics capability with company goals.
• Cultivate Trust, Agility, Boldness & collaboration with all team members.
• Define responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines.
• Timely review with the team members to track the progress and Mentor them to be a subject matter expert.
• Actively support through delegation & facilitate in de-bottlenecking of issues if any.
