Head of Finance (FP&A and Investor Relations)

One of our client Series A Fintech company based out of Bangalore is seeking a strategic, startup-hardened finance leader to take full ownership of our finance function during a period of hyper-growth. As a trusted partner to the founders and executive team, you will bridge the gap between rigorous controllership and commercial business scaling, driving strategic FP&A, capital allocation, and investor relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic FP&A & Business Finance: Own the full-company P&L, annual operating plans (AOP), driver-based forecasting, and scenario modeling to optimize margins and unit economics.
• Fundraising & Investor Relations: Lead end-to-end operational aspects of equity and debt capital raises, manage investor data rooms, oversee due diligence, and deliver decision-grade reporting to the Board of Directors.
• Controllership & Transformation: Implement scalable internal controls, manage statutory audits, and drive finance transformation through ERP implementations and automated reporting dashboards.
• Commercial Leadership: Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive P&L improvements, execute cost transformations, and optimize working capital efficiency.
• Team Building: Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing, multi-functional finance team from the ground up.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Qualifications: Qualified CA or CFA with 9 to 14 years of progressive professional experience.
• Background: Strong technical foundation in Big 4 audit, investment banking, or corporate finance, followed by proven success in a hyper-growth startup environment (Fintech, E-commerce, or B2B commerce).
• Fundraising Experience: Direct, hands-on experience securing institutional funding and managing complex investor relations.
• Traits: An entrepreneurial "builder" with an analytical mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment.
