Senior Principal-Data Science-HO & SUPPORT-CVM CoE - Corporate Centre of Excellence Head of Analytics & Data Science Commercial Banking | Kotak Mahindra Bank Build the Intelligence Engine of a Lending Business As commercial banking evolves toward data-driven decision making , analytics and data science are becoming central to how lending businesses operate. Kotak’s Commercial Banking division is building an analytics and data science function focused on powering decision systems across the lending lifecycle. This function will support key areas such as: credit risk insights collections prioritization models dealer and customer intelligence portfolio monitoring and early warning signals The goal is to embed analytics directly into operational workflows, enabling better decisions across underwriting, collections and commercial operations. The Role We are looking for a Head of Analytics & Data Science to lead the development of analytical capabilities that power data products across the business. This role will lead teams across: business analytics predictive modeling experimentation and impact measurement You will work closely with product managers and engineering teams to ensure analytics is embedded into operational decision systems. What You Will Build Examples of analytical capabilities the team will develop include: Credit Risk Models Models that help identify risk patterns and support underwriting decisions. Collections Propensity Models Predictive systems that help prioritize recovery actions. Dealer & Customer Intelligence Analytical frameworks that identify patterns in dealer and borrower performance. Portfolio Early Warning Systems Tools that detect early signals of portfolio stress. What You Will Do Lead Analytics Strategy Define the roadmap for analytics and data science capabilities across the lending lifecycle. Build and Mentor Teams Lead teams of business analysts and data scientists, developing strong analytical talent. Embed Analytics into Products Work closely with product and engineering teams to integrate models and insights into operational systems. Measure Business Impact Ensure analytics initiatives translate into measurable improvements in business outcomes. Develop Decision Intelligence Build analytical frameworks that enable faster and more consistent decision making across the organization.
