Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer | Remote | 3+ yrs.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer to join our cloud services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure solutions on the GCP. Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide GCP-based technical solutions.
• Manage and maintain GCP infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Implement and automate deployment and configuration processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Perform regular system and security monitoring, addressing issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve GCP-related incidents and problems.
• Implement and maintain GCP governance and compliance policies.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure GCP-based applications are well-architected and optimized.
• Stay abreast of the latest GCP updates, features, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation support for critical infrastructure issues.

• Proven experience as a GCP Engineer or in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Proficiency in implementing and managing Google Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Google Cloud Storage, and other relevant services.
• Experience with GCP networking concepts, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Load Balancer, and Cloud CDN.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM), security best practices, and compliance standards.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools in GCP (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to have:

• GCP certifications, such as Professional Cloud Architect or Associate Cloud Engineer.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises integrations.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of serverless computing and Google Cloud Functions.
