Job Description & Responsibilities

Role: Global HR Manager

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India (work from office) Mandatory!

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Experience: Minimum of 1012 years in HR, with 3+ years managing HR for US and India operations

Education: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent

Industry: IT Services & Consulting

Work Hours: Flexible; significant overlap with US Central Time required

Reports To: Director – Ops (India & US)

Key Responsibilities

Global HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Own end-to-end HR operations for India and US: offer letters, onboarding, documentation, confirmations, transfers, exits, and full & final settlements.
  • Maintain accurate employee and contractor records, HRIS data, and personnel files across both geographies.
  • Administer payroll inputs, benefits, leave, and attendance in coordination with finance and external payroll providers in India and the US.
  • Manage engagement paperwork for contractors and consultants, including agreements, timesheet compliance, and renewals, in coordination with the legal function.
  • Draft and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures aligned to both Indian and US requirements.
  • Serve as the escalation point for employee relations matters, grievances, and disciplinary processes, ensuring fair and well-documented outcomes.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead recruitment for India-based roles and support US hiring: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Manage relationships with recruitment vendors, job portals (including Naukri and LinkedIn), and staffing partners.
  • Partner with delivery and sales leadership on workforce planning, bench management, and rapid fulfillment of client staffing requirements.
  • Oversee talent pipelines for Oracle ERP and adjacent technology skill sets.
  • Own employer branding and candidate experience for the India entity.
  • Track and report recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and offer-to-join ratios.

Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Ensure full statutory compliance in India, including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments registrations, POSH, and labour law filings.
  • Support US employment compliance in coordination with US-based leadership and counsel, including I-9/E-Verify documentation, offer and termination documentation, and state-level requirements.
  • Coordinate immigration-related HR documentation for US work visas (H-1B, STEM OPT and similar), including job duty descriptions and employer letters.
  • Maintain audit-ready HR records and support internal and client audits, background verification, and vendor compliance requests.
  • Administer the POSH Internal Committee and mandatory trainings for the India entity.
  • Monitor regulatory changes in both countries and update policies and practices proactively.

Performance, Engagement & HR Strategy

  • Design and run the performance review cycle, goal setting, and increment/promotion processes across both geographies.
  • Drive employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and retention programs suited to a distributed, multi-time-zone workforce.
  • Advise leadership on compensation benchmarking, org design, and HR budgeting.
  • Establish and report HR dashboards and metrics (attrition, headcount, utilization support, engagement) to leadership.
  • Champion company culture and values consistently across India and US teams.
