Frontend Developer (Chennai)

Work Experience: 8+ years Work Mode: Hybrid ( 2days WFO) Work Location: Chennai, Mumbai and Gurgaon Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and deploy highly responsive and scalable user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks, primarily Next.js and React . - Collaborate closely with product managers, and backend developers to translate design mockups and user stories into functional and engaging web applications. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards. - Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and scalability across various devices and browsers. - Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring code quality. - Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing applications, including those built with PHP (Zend Framework/Laminas) and legacy JavaScript frameworks like Backbone.js . - Debug and troubleshoot complex frontend issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. - Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies, trends, and best practices, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate. - Actively participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives). - Proactively identify areas for improvement in our development processes and tools. Required Skills and Qualifications: - 3+ years of qualified experience as a Frontend Developer. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript , Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3. - Extensive experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.js and Next.js . - Solid understanding of component-based architecture, state management (e.g., Redux, React Context API), and front-end routing. - Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite. - Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git. - Demonstrable experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming. - Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests for frontend components. - Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Bonus Points (Nice to Have): - Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in Next.js. - Familiarity with PHP and frameworks like Zend Framework or Laminas . - Exposure to legacy JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone.js . - Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices. - Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. - Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker). - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
