Financial Planning and Analysis - Assistant Manager

About The Opportunity

Westbury Sportswear is seeking an Assistant Manager - FP&A to own the P&L and balance sheet for an assigned business unit, drive performance analytics, and build robust, defensible forecasts. This role is critical for ensuring financial accuracy, providing actionable insights to leadership, and supporting strategic planning within the Finance department.

Role & Responsibilities

• Own the monthly P&L and balance sheet for the assigned business/unit, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Partner with accounting to close the books and validate that numbers tie out.
• Maintain balance sheet / P&L schedules and flag anomalies proactively.
• Drive analytics on revenue, cost, and margin drivers to surface trends early.
• Own variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) with clear, defensible explanations.
• Build dashboards and MIS that give leadership a real-time view of performance.
• Build and maintain rolling forecasts with sound assumptions.
• Support annual budgeting and periodic re-forecasts.
• Stress-test forecast assumptions against actual trends and business inputs.
• Work closely with business and operations teams to understand drivers behind the numbers.
• Present findings and recommendations to the CFO and business stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• CA or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or a related finance function.
• Strong grasp of P&L and balance sheet mechanics.
• Advanced Excel and dashboarding/MIS skills.
• Sharp analytical ability.
• Forecasting and financial modelling capability.

Preferred

• Preference for candidates from the e-commerce industry.
