Compensation: Up to 25 LPA, inclusive of bonus

This position is embedded within myStartUp CFO , a respected CPA & Accounting Services firm under the Numera umbrella. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Controller to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to effectively analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate is dynamic, committed, and experienced in collaborating with or managing a team of bookkeepers. The role also involves ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition

Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting

Research technical accounting issues for compliance

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Proven working experience as a Financial Controller

• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, in US GAAP
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Xero and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
