Soul Communications Private Limited (Soulpay) is an Authorized Business Correspondent (BC) for multiple partners, including FINO Payment Bank and Airtel Payment Bank, approved under RBI BC guidelines for Mobikwik for BBPS and CMS, and Fingpay (a brand under Tapits Technologies Private Limited) for AEPS, among others. Since our inception in April 2021, we have been advancing technology and building a B2B distribution network to serve India's financial services sector.

Operating on a B2B model, we work with over 40,000+ neighborhood retail stores across India, equipping them with tools to provide assisted financial and digital services to their communities. As a fintech company, Soulpay is dedicated to empowering the migrant population and other underserved segments of the Indian economy, offering a range of services including money transfer, Aadhaar-enabled payments, bill payments, recharges, insurance, travel bookings, and more.

Role Summary

The Head – Finance will lead the organization's finance and accounting functions, ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, robust internal controls, and strategic financial planning. The role requires a strong understanding of fintech operations, payment ecosystems, banking reconciliations, treasury management, taxation, audits, and financial reporting while supporting business growth through sound financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Strategy

• Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term business plans.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Present financial insights and management reports to the leadership team.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts.
• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and revenue recognition.
• Maintain robust financial controls and accounting policies.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage working capital, banking relationships, liquidity planning, and fund utilization.
• Monitor daily cash flow and optimize cash management.
• Supervise fund transfers, settlements, and treasury operations.

Fintech Operations & Reconciliation

• Oversee transaction reconciliations for AEPS, BBPS, CashIn, CashOut, DMT, and other payment products.
• Monitor settlement processes with partner banks, payment aggregators, and fintech partners.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of merchant transactions, commissions, and settlement accounts.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and settlement exceptions.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory regulations.
• Coordinate timely filing of statutory returns and tax assessments.
• Liaise with auditors, bankers, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and financial governance requirements applicable to fintech operations.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Lead statutory, internal, tax, and financial audits.
• Develop and strengthen internal financial controls and risk management frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
• Implement corrective actions based on audit observations.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.
• Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, HR, Technology, and Business teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, payment service providers, auditors, and external stakeholders.
