Experienced Java Developer (Azure/DevOps)

Contract assignment for WirelessCar in Gothenburg (hybrid, 2+ days/week onsite) seeking an experienced Java backend developer with strong Azure and DevOps/operations focus. The role combines building and maintaining cloud-native backend services with production operations: CI/CD automation, monitoring/observability, troubleshooting distributed systems, incident/root-cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements for connected vehicle services used by a global automotive customer.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for an Experienced Java Developer with Azure and DevOps for our client WirelessCar.

• We are looking for a Java Developer with a strong interest in operations to join our team working with connected vehicle services. This is a hands-on role where you will combine software development with cloud operations (Azure), automation, and production support.
• Develop and maintain backend services and supporting components in a cloud-native environment.
• Take an active role in operating services in production and ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and take part in incident investigation and resolution.
• Improve observability through logging, metrics, monitoring, and alerting.
• Automate operational tasks and improve deployment and operational processes.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and implement actions that prevent recurring incidents.
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to continuously improve the service.
• We are looking for a developer who also enjoys getting close to the operation of the system. You don't need to be a pure operations specialist, but you should be comfortable taking responsibility and drive improvements in production.
• Troubleshooting distributed systems and production issues.
