About the Opportunity

Moola Global is hiring for a growing pharmaceutical/nutraceutical manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Plant Engineering & Maintenance professional for its Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) formulation manufacturing facility.

The role is suited to a multi-skilled engineering professional with practical experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting plant utilities, improving equipment reliability, and supporting uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting of OSD manufacturing and packing equipment.
• Maintain equipment such as RMG, FBD, sifters, blenders, tablet compression and coating machines, capsule-filling machines, and associated packing equipment.
• Manage HVAC systems, AHUs, chillers, cleanrooms, temperature/humidity controls, and differential-pressure systems.
• Maintain RO/purified water systems, pumps, storage tanks, distribution lines, compressed air, air dryers, vacuum systems, and mechanical utilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, panels, VFDs, sensors, and basic controls.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities, manage critical spares, and resolve recurring breakdowns.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, machine trials, and production ramp-up.
• Maintain equipment logbooks, maintenance records, and calibration tracking in line with GMP and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, technicians, OEMs, and external vendors while remaining actively involved in shop-floor troubleshooting.

Mandatory Requirements

• 7–15 years of plant engineering and maintenance experience, including at least 7 years in a pharmaceutical/nutraceutical OSD formulation manufacturing plant.
• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience across at least three different equipment or utility areas.
• Practical knowledge of preventive maintenance, breakdown analysis, equipment reliability, and plant utilities.
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues rather than relying solely on OEMs or contractors.

Important: API/bulk-drug-only experience will not be considered. Candidates with experience limited to a single specialty, such as HVAC or water systems alone, are not suitable.

Preferred

• Experience with both OSD manufacturing/packing machinery and plant utilities.
• Greenfield OSD plant project exposure, including installation, commissioning, and start-up.
