What you will do

• Own a production system end to end, from architecture through on-call support.
• Manage schema changes so deployments and migrations never have to be simultaneous.
• Review pull requests with an eye on correctness, readability and blast radius.
• Harden services against the failure modes seen in production, not in theory.
• Work with data teams to make event streams reliable enough to build on.
• Refactor the parts of the codebase that generate the most recurring bugs.
• Translate ambiguous product requests into a technical plan with clear trade-offs.
