Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Site Engineer to oversee and manage electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities at project sites in and around Chennai.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with approved technical specifications, drawings, quality standards, and applicable electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day electrical installation activities at project sites.

Execute and monitor factory electrical installation works as per project requirements.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Coordinate with contractors, technicians, vendors, and other project teams.

Conduct and supervise electrical testing and commissioning activities.

Ensure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes.

Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned electrical works.

Inspect materials and workmanship to maintain required quality standards.

Identify site-level technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.

Prepare and maintain site reports, installation records, testing reports, and other project documentation.

Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety procedures and site safety requirements.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of factory electrical installation.

Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and drawings.

Knowledge of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.

Good site supervision and coordination skills.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical installation-related issues.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to travel to project sites in and around Chennai/ all over India.

Experience & Qualification

Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience as an Electrical Site Engineer or in a similar role.

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering preferred.

Candidates with relevant factory/project installation experience will be preferred.

Added Advantage

Hindi-speaking ability will be an added advantage, particularly for coordinating with Hindi-speaking technicians and workmen.
