Position: Production Engineer – Electrical Control Panels

Location: Jagatpura, Jaipur

Experience: 1–5 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering

Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Engineer with hands-on experience in Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for planning and monitoring production activities, supervising panel assembly and wiring, ensuring quality standards, managing production manpower, and achieving production targets within the planned timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor daily production activities as per project requirements and delivery schedules.
• Supervise panel fabrication, component mounting, assembly, busbar work, wiring and testing.
• Read and understand SLD, GA drawings, schematic/wiring diagrams and BOMs.
• Ensure panels are manufactured strictly as per approved drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Supervise power and control wiring, ferruling, lugging, cable dressing, termination and labeling.
• Ensure proper mounting and installation of electrical components such as MCB, MCCB, ACB, contactors, relays, meters, CTs, VFDs, PLCs, terminals, etc.
• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Project teams for smooth production.
• Allocate work to panel wiremen, fitters, technicians and other production staff.
• Monitor manpower productivity and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
• Conduct/coordinate panel inspection, testing and troubleshooting before dispatch.
• Identify production issues, rework and quality problems and take corrective actions.
• Ensure minimum material wastage, rework and production delays.
• Maintain daily production reports, job status, material requirements and other production records.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
• Train and guide production team members regarding proper manufacturing and wiring practices.
• Follow up on pending jobs and ensure on-time completion and dispatch of panels.
• Support continuous improvement in production processes, productivity and quality.

Required Skills

• Strong practical knowledge of Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of LT/HT Panels, PCC, MCC, APFC, AMF, VFD, PLC, PDB/MDB and Control Panels.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, GA, SLD, wiring diagrams and BOMs.
• Knowledge of panel wiring, busbar work, component mounting and electrical testing.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in production planning and manpower handling.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a shop-floor manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience

Candidates having prior experience in Electrical Panel Manufacturing / Switchgear / Industrial Automation / Control Panel Production will be preferred.

Salary: As per experience and industry standards.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
