Electrical Estimation & Tendering Engineer

Arakan Electrical Suppliers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimation & Tendering Engineer to prepare accurate quotations, BOQs, cost estimates and tender submissions for HT/LT electrical infrastructure projects, transformer installations, substations and related electrical works. ### Key Responsibilities 1. *Quotation Preparation* * Prepare detailed quotations for HT and LT overhead line works. * Prepare quotations for transformer installation, transformer shifting and DTC installation. * Estimate costs for substations, HT/LT cable laying, underground cabling and electrical infrastructure works. * Prepare quotations for electrical supply, erection, testing and commissioning works. * Calculate material, labour, transportation, machinery and installation costs. 2. **BOQ and Cost Estimation** * Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings, site requirements and tender documents. * Estimate quantities of poles, conductors, cables, insulators, transformers, distribution boxes, earthing materials and other electrical items. * Prepare rate analysis for individual items and complete projects. * Calculate project overheads, contingencies, profit margins and final quoted rates. 3. **Tendering and Bid Management** * Study tender documents, technical specifications, drawings and commercial conditions. * Prepare technical and commercial bid documents. * Identify deviations, exclusions, payment terms and other tender requirements. * Assist in online tender submission and preparation of supporting documents. * Maintain records of submitted quotations, tenders and revisions. 4. **Vendor and Material Costing** * Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. * Compare material prices and prepare vendor comparison statements. * Coordinate with procurement and project teams to confirm material specifications and availability. * Maintain updated material rate lists for electrical items. 5. **Site and Project Coordination** * Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to understand actual site conditions and work requirements. * Conduct site visits when required to assess quantities, accessibility, route conditions and installation requirements. * Revise quotations based on changes in scope, quantities, drawings or site conditions. * Prepare additional-work estimates and rate revision proposals. 6. **Commercial and Documentation** * Maintain quotation registers and tender records. * Prepare comparative statements, cost sheets and estimation reports. * Support the management team in price negotiations and finalization of contract rates. * Ensure quotations are submitted accurately and within deadlines. ### Educational Qualifications * Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. * Candidates with relevant electrical estimation and tendering experience will be preferred. ### Experience * Preferred experience: 2–5 years in electrical estimation, costing and tendering. * Experience in HT/LT line works, transformer installation, substations and electrical contracting is preferred. * Knowledge of MSEDCL tenders and electrical utility projects will be an advantage. Required Skills * Strong knowledge of electrical materials and installation practices. * Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, BOQs and technical specifications. * Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word. * Ability to prepare material take-offs, rate analysis and detailed cost sheets. * Strong numerical, analytical and negotiation skills. * Ability to coordinate with suppliers, clients, engineers and management. v Salary Range-30,000-50,000 per month v For more details contact on -7499834090 HR department Arakan Electrical Suppliers Pvt.
