Director Demand Planning

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Demand Planning to lead our offshore demand planning operations in India. This role is responsible for developing and overseeing end-to-end demand planning processes, ensuring accurate forecasting, and aligning demand plans with business goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in supply chain planning, strong analytical capabilities, and exceptional leadership skills to drive performance, collaboration, and efficiency across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the offshore demand planning team, ensuring accurate forecasting across all product lines and geographies.
• Develop and implement best-in-class demand planning processes, tools, and systems to support business goals and improve forecast accuracy.
• Primary Responsibilities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning teams to integrate business intelligence and market insights into the forecast.
• Own the S&OP process input from a demand perspective, facilitating consensus forecast meetings and ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
• Analyze and report key forecast metrics, variances, and KPIs; provide insights and recommendations to improve accuracy and mitigate risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline planning operations and enhance forecast performance.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development to the India based demand planning teams
• Serve as a critical liaison between offshore and onshore teams to ensure effective communication, alignment, and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing global or offshore teams in a matrixed environment.
• Strong understanding of ERP and demand planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle, Logility).
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
• Experience with S&OP processes and cross-functional planning initiatives.
• Familiarity with working in multinational, fast-paced environments.
