Project Overview

We are building AI-powered agents within a globally used CRM platform that supports the Merck Healthcare Commercial and Field Force teams in their day-to-day activities.

The AI agents will be developed and deployed in an AWS cloud environment, leveraging existing analytics platforms and enterprise data capabilities to deliver scalable, business-focused solutions.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in

Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, Python, and AWS cloud services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing scalable AI agents that integrate with the global CRM ecosystem and deliver measurable improvements to business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Agentic AI workflows integrated with the global CRM ecosystem.
• Build scalable AI agent solutions using LLMs, agent frameworks, and AWS-managed/serverless services.
• Leverage existing analytics platforms and cloud capabilities to develop production-ready AI solutions.
• Optimize AI agents to ensure their outputs and workflows deliver meaningful business value to CRM end users.
• Develop workflows and supporting components to automate and improve business processes.
• Design and implement testing and validation strategies to measure agent performance, quality, reliability, and business impact.
• Monitor and continuously improve AI agent performance based on business requirements and user feedback.
• Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions suitable for production deployment.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile development environment.
• Contribute to technical design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7 11 years of relevant experience in Data Science, AI/ML, Generative AI, or related fields.
• Strong hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI.
• Experience developing and deploying AI agents in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM frameworks and SDKs such as:
• OpenAI Python libraries
• Anthropic Python libraries
• LangChain
• Other relevant Agentic AI / LLM frameworks
• Advanced Python programming skills with strong knowledge of:
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Design patterns
• Modern Python development practices
• Coding standards and best practices
• Testing and maintainable software development
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud architecture and experience developing solutions using AWS services such as:
• AWS Lambda
• AWS Step Functions
• AWS Glue
• Amazon Athena
• Experience building solutions using serverless and fully managed AWS services.
• Strong understanding of scalable cloud-based application architecture.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Working knowledge of project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
