The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.

The Impact You Will Have in This Role

As an Lead Data Scientist, you will play a key role in designing, building, and delivering AI-powered solutions that create measurable business value. You will combine strong technical expertise with delivery leadership, contributing directly to engineering efforts while helping coordinate teams, priorities, and execution across initiatives. Working closely with engineers, architects, product stakeholders, and leadership, you will help transform innovative ideas into reliable, scalable, and production-ready solutions.

You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, accelerating delivery, mentoring engineering talent, and ensuring work aligns with strategic objectives. Your ability to balance hands-on engineering with team leadership will be critical to the success of both individual projects and the broader AI Engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning, or Data Science
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale technology solutions
• Experience leading technical initiatives and coordinating cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, cloud platforms, APIs, and AI/ML technologies
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical best practices
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and business audiences

ABOUT THE TEAM

Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC's business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC's mission to support the financial markets.
