We’re looking for an experienced **Senior Data Engineer** to join us

📍 **Location:** Remote – India

🌎 **Time Zone:** Budapest / New York overlap

🚨 **MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS**

🔥 Strong hands-on Python + SQL

🔥 Production ETL/ELT pipeline development at scale

🔥 Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and dbt

🔥 Experience with Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, or equivalent data platforms

🔥 Spark experience preferred

🔥 Data quality, testing, monitoring, and production reliability

🔥 Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar tools

🎯 **CRUCIAL SKILLS**

• Python + SQL
• ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Apache Airflow
• dbt
• Databricks / Apache Spark
• BigQuery / Snowflake
• AI Coding Assistants

➕ **NICE TO HAVE**

• Go programming language
• Geospatial data, PostGIS, or BigQuery GIS
• AWS / GCP
• MCP / Agentic AI workflows
• Climate, sustainability, or physical-risk domain experience

⚠️ **IMPORTANT**

This role requires strong hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines. Candidates should be comfortable working with large-scale data processing, pipeline orchestration, data transformations, quality checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Experience with AI coding assistants is also an important requirement.
