Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Data
- Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and
- database systems that power our analytics and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a
- strong background in data engineering, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and the ability to
- work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Key Responsibilities (Must Have):
- Data Pipeline Development:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to process and transform
- large volumes of data from various sources
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data is accurately and
- efficiently moved between systems
- Troubleshoot and optimize pipeline performance and reliability
- 2. Database Management:
- Design and optimize database schemas to support data storage, retrieval, and analysis
- Manage and maintain data storage solutions, including relational databases (e.g., MS SQL
- Server) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Implement best practices for data integrity, security, and performance
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, data models, and data
- integration processes
- Experience in Microsoft SSRS / SSIS packages
- Provide regular reports on data pipeline performance, data quality, and other key metrics
- Create and maintain data visualization dashboards using reporting tools
- Experience in Power BI
Job Responsibilities
- Good to have:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Hands-on experience with reporting and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of data modelling techniques and best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in Python/.NET
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
