Microsoft Fabric Data Architect Summary

We are looking for a Microsoft Fabric Data Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview to design, implement, and govern enterprise-scale modern data platforms.

The role will focus on building scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Engineering, and Data Pipelines, while establishing robust data governance, metadata management, lineage, cataloging, and compliance frameworks through Microsoft Purview.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end enterprise data architectures using Microsoft Fabric, from architecture through deployment.
• Build and optimize Lakehouse, OneLake, Data Warehouse, Data Pipelines, and Data Engineering solutions for enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Design scalable data models, semantic models, and analytics solutions, integrating Microsoft Fabric with Power BI and Azure data services.
• Implement Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, metadata management, lineage, classification, business glossary, and enterprise data governance.
• Drive data quality, security, privacy, compliance, performance, and cost optimization while collaborating with data engineers, BI teams, architects, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Data Engineering/Data Architecture with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric implementation.
• Expertise in Lakehouse, OneLake, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering, Dataflows Gen2, and Real-Time Analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Business Glossary, Data Discovery & Classification, and Data Governance.
• Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and ETL/ELT pipeline development, along with Power BI integration and semantic modeling.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services including ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory, with a solid understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and data quality.
