Role Description The Cost Manager role at SEL Manufacturing Co. Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Ludhiana. The Cost Manager will analyze production costs and overheads, prepare detailed cost reports, and support budgeting and forecasting activities. Daily responsibilities include monitoring variances between standard and actual costs, reviewing bills of materials, and collaborating with production, procurement, and finance teams to identify cost-saving opportunities. The role also involves ensuring accurate cost allocation, supporting internal audits, and providing management with timely insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong cost accounting and management accounting skills, including variance analysis, budgeting, and cost control.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret data and present clear cost-related insights to stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP systems or manufacturing-related software for cost tracking, inventory management, and production planning.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, bills of materials, and supply chain concepts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with production, procurement, and finance teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Cost Management, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CMA or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly in cost management or plant finance, is highly beneficial.
