Job Description & Responsibilities

Job Summary

Our client, a leading Energy & Utilities provider, is seeking

two experienced Cloud Solutions Engineer IV professionals to support a leading utilities client in Los Angeles, CA. These positions will play a critical role in supporting SAP IS-U functionality, developing and maintaining custom SAP solutions, resolving production defects, and ensuring system stability during a high-priority implementation period. The team is seeking professionals with deep SAP expertise, including one resource with a strong SAP ABAP development focus and one resource with a strong SAP Security focus. Successful candidates will bring extensive SAP IS-U experience, strong technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production support environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support SAP IS-U applications through go-live, hypercare, and stabilization activities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain custom SAP ABAP code and technical solutions
  • Build and support RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows
  • Develop and support SAP BTP and UI5 applications
  • Evaluate, develop, implement, optimize, and configure SAP cloud environments
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive defects through resolution
  • Manage and prioritize technical support tickets and enhancement requests
  • Collaborate with functional, integration, Basis, security, and project teams
  • Support SAP integrations with external systems
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support activities
  • Provide status updates, root cause analysis, and issue resolution communications
  • Work closely with architects and technical teams to reproduce and resolve complex issues
  • Contribute to ongoing platform enhancements, automation, and operational improvements

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience and/or SAP Security experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP IS-U development experience
  • Strong understanding of RICEFW concepts
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
  • Strong SAP BTP UI5 development capabilities
  • Experience supporting SAP production environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and defect resolution skills
  • Experience working in complex enterprise environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Major Market Billing experience
  • SAP Print Workbench experience
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite
  • Experience with SAP C4C Version 2
  • Utility industry experience supporting Customer Information Systems (CIS)
  • Knowledge of cloud lifecycle management and operational support
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks such as ITIL, TOGAF, or PMP methodologies

Work Environment

  • Location: Los Angeles, CA
  • Two openings available
  • Schedule: First two weeks onsite, followed by one week onsite each month
  • Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
  • Duration: 30-week contract
  • Contract Dates: August 31, 2026 – March 31, 2027
  • Interview Process: One round with client leadership
  • Conversion: No opportunity for full-time conversion
  • Equipment: Consultant must provide laptop

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $63.00 and $90.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
