Job Description

• We are looking for an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing Shared Platform Integration Team, supporting enterprise SAP environments hosted on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and operational excellence of critical cloud infrastructure while delivering exceptional support to our global customers.
• You will work closely with cloud engineers, infrastructure specialists, and customer stakeholders to manage SAP Landing Zones, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, enterprise monitoring platforms, and day-to-day infrastructure operations.
• Your expertise will help maintain highly available environments, resolve technical issues, implement platform improvements, and ensure our customers' cloud infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and performant.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve infrastructure support tickets, incidents, and service requests while ensuring high service availability and adherence to SLAs.
• Deploy, maintain, and support SAP Landing Zone infrastructure, SAP Avantra monitoring, SAP Chameleon environments, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters.
• Perform Windows and Linux server administration, including monthly patching, server onboarding, backup monitoring, and quarterly AKS cluster upgrades.
• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise operational tools such as CheckMK, Qualys, and Splunk agents across supported environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot infrastructure issues, support project delivery, and drive operational excellence across Azure-hosted SAP environments.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement through proactive monitoring, documentation, automation, and adherence to operational best practices.

What We Need To See From You

• Strong experience managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) administration and upgrades.
• Hands-on experience supporting SAP infrastructure or SAP Basis environments, preferably with SAP Landing Zones and monitoring platforms such as Avantra.
• Strong Windows Server and Linux administration experience, including patch management, infrastructure maintenance, and production support.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and security tools such as CheckMK, Splunk, Qualys, and backup monitoring solutions.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes; scripting experience with PowerShell or Bash is an advantage.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, global environment.

• Production-level Azure administration and troubleshooting
• Azure infrastructure monitoring and support
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure operations
• AWS – Mandatory
• Strong hands-on AWS cloud infrastructure experience
• Candidates without strong Azure and AWS experience should be rejected.
• Windows & Linux – Mandatory
• Strong hands-on Windows Server administration
• Strong hands-on Linux administration
• Production troubleshooting, patching and maintenance experience
• L3 Production Support – Mandatory
• Looking specifically for L3-level infrastructure support engineers
• Candidates should have strong experience in:
