## About the Role

Rays Power Experts Ltd is seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to lead the preparation and review of civil and structural designs for utility-scale solar power projects. The role covers design calculations, drawings, BOQ preparation, and technical specifications, working closely with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver designs that are safe, cost-effective, and fully compliant with applicable codes, project specifications, and client requirements.

## Key Responsibilities

• Prepare civil and structural designs for utility-scale solar power plants, including module mounting structure foundations and plant infrastructure.
• Develop foundation drawings, site grading plans, drainage layouts, and internal road layouts.
• Design transformer foundations and civil works for Power Pooling Stations (PPS) and associated structures.
• Review geotechnical and soil investigation reports and recommend appropriate foundation systems.
• Drive design optimisation to improve cost efficiency, constructability, and quality.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material estimates, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and maintain design calculations, design basis reports, and project documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant IS codes, project standards, and client requirements.
• Review contractor and vendor drawings and provide technical comments and approvals.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and project execution teams to ensure integrated design delivery.
• Provide timely technical support to site teams in resolving design-related issues during construction.

## Requirements

• Sound knowledge of RCC and steel structure analysis and design.
• Strong understanding of soil investigation, geotechnical parameters, and foundation design.
• Working knowledge of relevant IS codes and standards for civil and structural works.
• Software proficiency: AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, Google Earth Pro, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.

## Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in civil works for solar power projects, preferably with a solar EPC organisation.
• Experience in transformer foundation design.
• Experience in civil design for Power Pooling Stations (PPS).
• Exposure to the complete range of civil works associated with solar plant infrastructure.
