Chartered Accountant – Legal & Compliance

About the Role

We are hiring a Chartered Accountant with strong exposure to legal, regulatory, and compliance work to join our finance team. This role sits at the intersection of finance and law, ideal for a CA who has handled contract review, tax litigation, corporate compliance, or regulatory filings alongside core accounting work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage statutory compliance under Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, and FEMA
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements
• Liaise with external legal counsel on litigation, disputes, and regulatory matters
• Oversee tax planning, assessments, and representation before tax authorities
• Support corporate governance: board resolutions, ROC filings, secretarial compliance
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments with a compliance lens
• Advise leadership on legal and financial risk in business decisions

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI)
• LLB or equivalent legal qualification/certification preferred
• 3+ years of experience handling both financial and legal/compliance functions
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, taxation, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have

• Company Secretary (CS) qualification
• Experience with M&A due diligence or tax litigation
• Prior experience in a Big 4 firm, corporate legal team, or boutique advisory practice

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
