Backend Software Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript)

About the roleAB Connectz is seeking a capable Backend Software Engineer with 25 years of professional experience. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable serverside applications that power our products. The role works closely with frontend developers, product teams, and other engineers to deliver reliable solutions.Key responsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.Build serverside applications using Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS and/or Express.js.Design efficient relational database schemas and write optimized PostgreSQL/MySQL queries.Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, rolebased access control).Integrate thirdparty APIs such as payment gateways, communication and cloud services.Develop reusable modules following cleancode and bestpractice standards.Collaborate with frontend teams for seamless API integration.Participate in technical discussions, requirement analysis and architecture planning.Troubleshoot issues across development, staging and production environments.Perform code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and improve overall code quality.Manage source code with Git, following structured branching and versioncontrol practices.Support deployment, configuration and production maintenance as needed.Monitor performance, scalability and reliability, and maintain technical documentation.Required profile25 years of professional backend development experience.Strong handson experience with Node.js and TypeScript.Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with NestJS or Express.js.Solid understanding of REST API design and integration.Good working knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, including SQL query optimization and database design.Experience with ORMs such as Prisma.Familiarity with authentication mechanisms like JWT and rolebased access control.Required skillsNode.jsTypeScriptJavaScriptNestJSExpress.jsRESTful APIsPostgreSQLMySQLSQLPrisma (ORM)JWTGit .
