Backend Developer (Nest.JS) (Bengaluru)

Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in NestJS and PostgreSQL to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have experience building RESTful APIs, database design, authentication, and integrating third-party services while following best coding practices.Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using NestJS and TypeScript.- Build scalable and secure RESTful APIs.- Design, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL databases.- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.- Implement authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, or similar mechanisms.- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.- Optimize application performance, database queries, and backend architecture.- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams.- Write unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.- Work with Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines.Required Skills- Strong proficiency in NestJS and TypeScript.- Experience with Node.js backend development.- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, database design, indexing, and query optimization.- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.- Knowledge of authentication and authorization (JWT, Passport, OAuth).- Experience with ORM tools such as Prisma or TypeORM.- Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.- Familiarity with Redis for caching is a plus.- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.- Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.- Understanding of API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Preferred Skills- Experience with GraphQL.- Knowledge of microservices architecture.- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.- Familiarity with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- 2–5 years of backend development experience with NestJS and PostgreSQL.- Robust analytical and communication skills.- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative Agile environment.Nice to Have- Experience developing AI-enabled or SaaS applications.- Knowledge of scalable system architecture and performance optimization.- Experience deploying applications using Docker and cloud services.Pay: ₹337,577.06 - ₹1,233,844.49 per yearBenefits:- Flexible schedule- Health insurance- Paid sick time- Paid time off- Provident Fund- Work from homeWork Location: Hybrid remote in Bengaluru, Karnataka (Bengaluru, Bengaluru Urban District)
