Detailed Job Description

As a Backend Developer – Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting backend services running in production Kubernetes environments. You will work closely with platform, DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to build scalable and resilient systems while ensuring operational excellence. The successful candidate will have hands‑on experience developing Python applications, managing containerized workloads, troubleshooting complex production issues, and maintaining Kubernetes-based platforms. This role requires a strong balance of software engineering, infrastructure knowledge, automation expertise, and production support capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Python.
• Build and support cloud-native applications running in containerized environments.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications in Kubernetes clusters.
• Maintain and optimize production infrastructure environments.
• Create and manage Kubernetes manifests, deployment pipelines, and configuration files.
• Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery processes.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, networking, and platform-related incidents.
• Monitor application performance and ensure production stability.
• Implement security, hardening, and operational best practices across Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and engineering teams to improve platform resilience.
• Participate in production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Backend Development or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on Python backend development experience.
• Proven experience working with Kubernetes production environments.
• Experience building and managing containerized workloads.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application architectures.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure operations and production support practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities across application and infrastructure layers.
• Experience working with Linux-based environments.
• Understanding of networking concepts and production system operations.
• Ability to work across development, infrastructure, and operations domains.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Docker container technologies.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
