Job Title: Backend Developer (Python / FastAPI) Location: Chennai (Onsite) Experience: 5+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Notice Period: Immediate Joiners or Up to 15 Days Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer (Python / FastAPI) to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, API development, database design, and cloud-native architectures. Experience in building enterprise-grade applications within fintech or other regulated industries is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and FastAPI. Build secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and microservices. Design, optimize, and maintain databases using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. Implement authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices using JWT, OAuth2, encryption, and industry security standards. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with comprehensive unit and integration tests. Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams in Agile development cycles. Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support production settings. Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and technical design discussions. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in backend software development. Strong proficiency in Python and the FastAPI framework. Hands-on experience in developing REST APIs, WebSockets, or gRPC services. Robust understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization. Experience with SQLAlchemy, ORM frameworks, and asynchronous programming (asyncio). Valuable understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
