Job Description
- We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Backend Architect to join our growing startup team. In this leadership role, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust backend solutions that power our complex business workflows and deliver an exceptional user experience.
- You will take full ownership of backend components, from design and coding to testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 14-19 years of experience in backend development and architecture.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned tasks.
- In-depth knowledge of Java and object-oriented development principles.
- Proven experience in building, deploying, and scaling microservices architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
- Passion for code quality, eager to mentor junior engineers and maintain high coding standards within the team.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (RDBMS) and NoSQL technologies.
- Previous experience in developing backend systems for enterprise applications (e.g., e-commerce, manufacturing, supply chain).
- Strong understanding of debugging performance issues and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot), MongoDB, MySQL, AWS technologies, ELK Stack, and Apache Kafka (a plus).
- Experience in developing large-scale, distributed systems (a plus).
- Experience with cloud technologies and best practices (a plus).
- Proven track record of delivering projects successfully in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable backend solutions for complex business workflows, considering user personas and experience.
- Take complete ownership of backend components, encompassing design, coding, testing, integration, deployment, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code, fostering a culture of code quality within the team.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within the backend infrastructure.
- Proactively mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical growth.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (management, product, QA, UI/UX) to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, upholding high-quality standards in a fast-paced startup environment
