Azure Data Engineer/Lead

You will lead data engineering initiatives, designing storage solutions and scalable ETL pipelines on Azure while managing operational data integrity.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data storage using Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Data Lake Storage.
• Build scalable ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Develop optimized database structures and complex SQL queries for high-performance retrieval.
• Automate data processing workflows using Python and PowerShell.
• Establish data governance, security, and encryption strategies for compliance.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering and storage design.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Cosmos DB.
• Proven experience building data pipelines with Azure Data Factory or Databricks.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for query optimization and database management.
• Advanced scripting skills in Python and PowerShell.
• Deep understanding of ETL processes and data architecture best practices.
• Experience managing cloud-based storage on Azure and AWS.
• Ability to use Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA for data organization.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud certifications in Azure or AWS.
• Experience with advanced data visualization tools.
