We are currently hiring an experienced Azure API Management (APIM) Engineer for one of our esteemed clients. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Azure API Management, API design and integration, API policies, security, and gateway configuration to build, manage, and optimize secure and scalable API solutions aligned with business requirements.

Job Location - Chennai and Bangaluru (Hybrid Mode)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Azure API Management Engineer to design, implement, secure, and manage APIsusing Microsoft Azure API Management. The candidate will work with development and cloud teams to deliver scalable,secure, and reliable API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and manage APIs, products, subscriptions, and policies in Azure API Management.

Implement authentication, authorization, throttling, rate limiting, and access control.

Configure API gateways, backend services, versioning, and revisions.

Integrate APIs with Azure services and external applications.

Troubleshoot API connectivity, performance, and security issues.

Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments for API configurations.

Monitor API usage, availability, and performance.

Required Skills

Minimum 4 years of relevant API development, integration, or API management experience.

Hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).

Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, and API lifecycle management.

Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and API security.

Familiarity with Azure services, networking, and monitoring.

Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and scripting experience preferred.
